In simple terms, NVIDIA is planning to manufacture AI supercomputers exclusively within the U.S. The production of NVIDIA’s Blackwell chips has already started at TSMC’s plant in Phoenix, Arizona. Furthermore, NVIDIA will collaborate with Amkor and SPIL for the assembly and testing processes right here in the state.

In addition to Texas, NVIDIA plans to establish factories for producing supercomputers. They will collaborate with Foxconn in Houston and Wistron in Dallas on these projects.

Production is expected to increase over the coming 12-15 months, according to NVIDIA.

Over the next four years, the leading tech company intends to invest around $500 billion in American soil for AI infrastructure development, primarily through collaborations with TSMC, Foxconn, Wistron, Amkor, and SPIL.

The latest news emerges at a time when a trade dispute leaves the availability of semiconductors, processors, and vital electronic components hanging in the balance. Interestingly, NVIDIA refrained from referencing tariffs or the ongoing trade conflict in their recent statement.

According to reports from CBS, it was revealed that NVIDIA’s founder and CEO, Jensen Huang, was among the guests who dined at Mar-a-Lago, a property owned by President Trump, in an event that carried a price tag of $1 million per plate.

A separate report by NPR suggests that the topic of NVIDIA’s H20 chips might have been brought up during the dinner, according to sources. These sources told the outlet that the White House altered its stance on H20 chips after NVIDIA agreed to invest in AI data centers within the U.S.

The top-tier AI processing chips known as H20 chips, which are allowed for export to China, have been subject to potential restrictions due to the ongoing trade dispute. However, it seems that the plans regarding these restrictions may have been altered.

The popularity of H20 chips skyrocketed after DeepSeek introduced their AI models, which were developed utilizing those processors.

NVIDIA’s AI supercomputers are built to handle artificial intelligence tasks, and they anticipate the construction of numerous “AI factories” with gigawatt power consumption in the near future.
