Though GTA 6 is dominating discussions, there’s also significant excitement brewing about a potential remake of Elder Scrolls Oblivion. Bethesda hasn’t confirmed it yet, but leaks have hinted at its possibility. An influential leaker now suggests that the Elder Scrolls Oblivion remake might arrive “earlier” than initially anticipated.
Elder Scrolls Oblivion remake release is “likely to be sooner than original target”
As an ardent fan, I can’t help but feel a thrill of anticipation about the rumors swirling around the potential remake of Elder Scrolls Oblivion. And as the trusted source NateTheHate often suggests, it seems we might be on the verge of hearing some exciting news very soon!
In reply to a question about whether there’s news on the remake for March, NateTheHate answered “Perhaps by the end of this month or the next.” Furthermore, the leaker suggested that the release might come earlier than the initial target date in June.
According to NateTheHate’s Xbox 2025 predictions video, he stated that “Oblivion” will be released in June. However, the leaker now speculates it may be released earlier, but they are still trying to gather information about a potential new release date.
If the Oblivion remake comes out ahead of the expected June release date (which could be moved up), it might mean that we’ll see it in May if an official announcement occurs in April. But at present, this is merely speculation as Bethesda has not yet confirmed the game’s existence.
Based on MP1st, the game is a “completely revamped” version of Oblivion, using Unreal Engine 5, and it appears to have updated systems including stamina, stealth, parrying, archery, enemy response, and user interface. Additionally, there are rumors that the new blocking system draws inspiration from Souls-like games.
I’m eagerly waiting for the announcement of an updated version of Oblivion, one of the standout games from The Elder Scrolls series along with Skyrim. It would be delightful to revisit that expansive world with enhanced gameplay.
