Oblivion Remastered – All 9 Wayshrines of the Divines Locations | Pilgrimage Quest

Title game The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion has received an upgraded version, offering all expansion packs and additional content like Knights of the Nine. One of the missions included in this extension is named Pilgrimage, where you embark on a voyage to visit each sanctuary dedicated to the Nine Deities. Here, we will demonstrate how to accomplish this quest segment.

All 9 Wayshrines of the Divines Locations | Pilgrimage Quest

Even though there are just nine divine entities, you’ll need to travel to nine locations. However, there are numerous shrines scattered across these sites. Intriguingly, most of these shrines boast at least three separate shrines within them, with a few exceptions. Two specific ones have an additional shrine each, bringing the total to four for each pair.

Just go to any place where there’s a shrine, interact with it to receive blessings from the associated deity and make advancements in your quest. It’s quite straightforward, so you don’t need much help.”

The main change I made was simplifying the language while keeping the original meaning intact. I also added an additional sentence to clarify the purpose of visiting the shrine.

In summary, you’ll find a total of 29 shrines that are worth visiting. If you’re intrigued about their locations, I have an extensive map of Oblivion that clearly marks the spot for each and every one of them. Enjoy your exploration!

To make things clear, it’s important to note that you need to pay a visit to one shrine for each of the Divines. Therefore, simply visiting nine random shrines and praying at them wouldn’t work as there’s a good possibility that you might encounter multiple repetitions.

Instead, you can try this specific order based on their proximity in the map:

As you navigate using the provided map, you’ll encounter shrines dedicated to various deities moving from left to right. Each one offers a unique bonus, should you be interested in knowing their special rewards.

  • Wayshrine #1 (Arkay) – Fortify your health by 10 points for several minutes
  • Wayshrine #2 (Mara) – Fortify your willpower by 10 point for several minutes.
  • Wayshrine #3 (Akatosh) – Fortifies both your speed and magicka by 10 points for several minutes.
  • Wayshrine #4 (Zenithar) – Fortifies your luck by 10 points for several minutes.
  • Wayshrine #5 (Talos) – Fortifies your strength by 10 points for several minutes.
  • Wayshrine #6 (Stendarr) – Fortifies your endurance by 10 points for several minutes.
  • Wayshrine #7 (Kynareth) – Fortifies your agility by 10 points for several minutes.
  • Wayshrine #8 (Julianos) – Fortifies both your intelligence and magicka by 10 points for several minutes.
  • Wayshrine #9 (Dibella) – Fortifies your personality by 10 points for several minutes. This is the one beside Chorrol, at the end of the path shown above.

Following the suggested route outlined here, you’ll encounter each deity, enabling you to progress with the Pilgrimage quest, or this segment of it, in an organized fashion. However, remember that the journey itself won’t be a straightforward one. This is simply a recommendation based on their relative proximities.

Should you run into trouble with any of the altars within the game, which might be happening more frequently than expected due to potential confusion or very uncommon glitches, feel free to explore alternative altars on the map. You’ll recognize when you’ve completed the task if you receive the objective to “pray” and then wait for a “vision”.

That concludes our discussion. If you’re still navigating on foot, perhaps you might want to look into our tutorial on locating and obtaining the unicorn in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered. It functions similarly to its original iteration in the game, so if you have played it previously, chances are you’re already quite acquainted with this legendary creature.
