Today at 4:45pm on Wednesday, June 11th, 2025: The first update for Oblivion Remastered has been released on PS5, just as Bethesda and developer Virtuos announced last week.
Update 1.511 is designed to rectify multiple crashes and widespread glitches, including certain ones that affect the advancement of quests. On Sony’s platform, it requires a substantial download of approximately 13.2GB.
Since the enhanced version has been out for more than a month now, it’s unlikely that these updates will create much enthusiasm among current players; however, we are moving in a positive direction.
As an ardent supporter, I’m eagerly waiting for Bethesda to share the good news about their upcoming technical performance update. Fingers crossed, it’ll be rolled out sooner than we might expect!

For over a month now, fans have eagerly anticipated an update for the recently launched Oblivion Remastered. They’ve been patiently waiting weeks, hoping for some resolution to the game’s persistent performance problems and glitches. At last, the long-awaited news has emerged.
Next week, on the 11th of June, I’m excitedly counting down to the release of Patch 1.1! We’ve also been told to expect another update, though the exact timing is still up in the air.
The positive aspect is that the initial update seems designed to address several annoying issues, such as obstacles in quests and recurring crashes.
Unfortunately, the latest update doesn’t seem to address frame rates or overall performance issues, areas that could significantly improve on PlayStation 5. However, it appears that the upcoming second update will focus on these concerns, so patience is key for now.
