As a seasoned battle royale enthusiast with a knack for cyberpunk aesthetics, I must say that Gunzilla Games’ “Off the Grid” has piqued my interest like a neon-lit sign in the foggy night of Teardrop Island. With Neill Blomkamp at the helm, I am eagerly anticipating the fusion of his unique storytelling and the pulsating heartbeat of a battle royale experience.
The action-packed battle royale shooter titled “Off the Grid” from Gunzilla Games, collaborating with “District 9” director Neill Blomkamp, is accessible now on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC platforms. At present, it’s in early access stage, offering players a sneak peek of various locations, weaponry, and game modes. You can catch the launch trailer below for a taste of what awaits you!
The game scenario places you on Teardrop Island, where survival is key. However, it’s also suggested that your character is a gaming enthusiast throughout this adventure. It offers a blend of Player versus Player (PvP) and Player versus Environment (PvE) experiences. You can accumulate and extract equipment, which in turn grants you abilities and cybernetic enhancements such as modifying limbs for combat purposes.
Initially, it was mentioned that Extraction Royale (XR) would include 150 players, but the early access page for PC only lists up to 60. For now, XR seems to be the primary game mode available. As of yet, no timeline or plan for future content and the duration of the title’s early access period has been disclosed. Keep an eye out for updates and more information in the coming months and years.
