Okay Baby

Katelynn Ordone is navigating the unimaginable.

6 days following the tragic single-vehicle car accident that took the life of her 2-year-old son, “Okay Baby” on TikTok, Katelynn is now sharing her thoughts.

She expressed her desire to share some news with everyone since she has been noticing the outpouring of love and support from all of you. She added that these gestures mean a great deal to them during these challenging times, as she stated in the video posted on Instagram on April 30.

Katelynn revealed that she had been released from the hospital just the day before, but her husband, Jaelan Ordone, was still admitted. She mentioned that she and their 7-year-old daughter, Paisley Ordone, were residing in an Airbnb nearby to keep visiting him regularly.

She went on to say, “It seems like everyone is doing their best – none of us truly grasp the reasons or mechanisms behind it. Yet, your support has had a substantial impact on many aspects of this situation.

She shared, with growing emotion, “I might not be able to view everything or respond to each comment, as it’s quite challenging for me to handle it all. However, I’m still taking in the things I see and hear about how much you all care for him, and it truly means a lot.

Katelynn openly acknowledged that gathering her thoughts for the video was challenging. In her post’s description, she shared that she wanted everyone to understand how much their support means to her, especially during these extremely tough times.

Katelynn’s message arrives shortly after it was announced, just a few days ago, that Preston had passed away, and details about Katelynn and Jaelan’s injuries following the accident on April 24 were made public by their loved ones.

Katelynn sustained several fractured bones, according to Melanie Matranga, who also mentioned she suffered a severe concussion. Today, for the first time since the accident, she took her first steps. Jaelan underwent an emergency operation on one of his legs; he now has rods and pins in it. Both are currently receiving treatment at different hospitals. Preston was extracted from the vehicle and transported to a hospital. The medical team did their best to save him.

Melanie and her spouse, Carson Matranga, paused for a moment too, considering the mark Preston left globally during his short two-year span. They were among the many captivated by Preston’s heartwarming “OK” response on social media as he brushed aside whatever his parents had asked him.

In one video, Katelynn advised Preston to take care when jumping into puddles – something he agreed to with his usual “OK” gesture. She then added footage showing the little boy repeatedly leaping clumsily into the muddy earth.

Carson shared that he brought joy and laughter to many, and everyone eagerly awaited his presence each day. He imagines that in heaven, if there’s mud, he’d be leaping and dancing around it. Picture him dashing up and down the golden streets in his overalls – perhaps even golden ones now. We will certainly miss him dearly.

For a look back at some of Preston’s sweetest moments with his family, keep reading.

On December 27, 2022, the proud parents of daughter Paisley Ordone announced the arrival of their newborn son, Preston.

Katelynn posted on Facebook, “We can’t wait to bring him home with us,” she said. “Thanks a lot to all of you for your prayers.” (Simpler and more conversational)

In simpler terms, The Ordone family marked Easter 2025 by enjoying various treats, attending church services, and taking a dip in the pool. Katelyn summed up their day with the caption, “Wishing everyone a Happy Easter.

At seven years old, Paisley adores having her little brother around. As Katelynn ponders over Preston’s daring personality, she notes that it appears to have been inherited from his older sister.

On Instagram, March 8, the mother of two playfully commented, “My daughter was just as wild at her age. That’s why there are five years between them. She grew slightly less wild as she got older.

In a TikTok video uploaded in August 2024, Katelynn instructed Preston, “Wait with Lovie for a minute, alright?” After responding “Alright” to her, the toddler quickly dove into the swimming pool.

The user said they approve of it every time and he keeps reacting in the same way. Katelynn noted that Preston doesn’t quite understand the meaning of ‘OK’, as seen in the caption of the video, which reads, ‘We’re still trying to figure out what ‘OK’ means to him.'”

“The user commented that they always give their approval and he continues to respond enthusiastically. Katelynn pointed out that Preston doesn’t quite get the idea behind ‘OK’, as she wrote in the video caption, ‘We’re still trying to figure out what ‘OK’ means for him.’

Preston adored the swimming pool, yet his affection for mud ran deeper. For hours on end, he would joyfully splash around in the muddy puddles that were a common sight near their residence.

In Carson Matranga’s April 27 announcement about his untimely passing, which was shared by Katelynn and Jaelan, he was described as saying that “I believe he’s leaping and twirling in some heavenly mud right now, if there is any to be found.

As a dedicated follower, I’d often find myself sharing “Preston Interview” posts on my social media platforms, engaging with him about his culinary preferences and delving into aspects of his personal life through thoughtful questioning.

His favorite song? “Baby” by Justin Bieber, which he went on to sing.

To be honest, I can’t help but feel rather… irked by the Grinch. He’s such a grouchy character that makes my blood boil! I just wish I could confront him and express my frustrations, you know?
