As a seasoned movie reviewer with a penchant for suspenseful thrillers and a soft spot for mathematical puzzles, I can hardly contain my excitement for Apple TV+’s upcoming series Prime Target! With an impressive cast led by One Day’s Leo Woodall and Black Adam’s Quintessa Swindell, this conspiracy-laden drama promises to keep us guessing until the very end.

Apple TV+’s eagerly awaited thriller series, Prime Target, has unveiled its release date along with some initial sneak peeks. The series features Leo Woodall, known for One Day, and Quintessa Swindell, famously recognized from Black Adam, in the leading roles.

The eight-episode series, classified as a conspiracy thriller, is set to premiere on our streaming platform on January 22nd, 2025. The initial two episodes will be available that day, followed by one new episode every week until the grand finale on March 5th.

As per the official summary, the series features Woodall portraying “an exceptionally intelligent mathematics postgraduate,” named Edward Brooks. This character stands on the precipice of unlocking the code for every global computer following his discovery of an intricate sequence within prime numbers.

However, once he discerns that a hidden adversary seeks to sabotage his project, he finds himself drawn into the company of NSA agent Taylah Sanders (Swindell), whose duties involve monitoring and documenting mathematicians’ actions.

The summary ends by hinting that they begin to untangle the perplexing mystery surrounding Edward, who appears to be deeply involved,” (paraphrased)

The series is the brainchild of award-winning writer Steve Thompson – the creator of Vienna Blood and writer of multiple episodes of Sherlock – and can count on a starry ensemble cast to support Woodall and Swindells.
