One Deadpool & Wolverine Moment Made Henry Cavill Sick

As a seasoned gamer with a soft spot for superhero movies, I must admit that the news of Henry Cavill‘s unexpected appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Wolverine has left me utterly thrilled and slightly bewildered. The man has already donned the cape for Superman, and now he’s diving headfirst into the world of mutants!

Henry Cavill’s tenure in the DC Universe has concluded, as DC Studios has selected David Corenswet to take over the role of Clark Kent/Superman. This transition for the Man of Steel presents an unexpected opportunity for Cavill to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In the upcoming film “Deadpool & Wolverine“, Deadpool is exploring various universes in search of the ideal Wolverine. It’s during this quest that he encounters a Logan who isn’t portrayed by Hugh Jackman, but rather Henry Cavill himself.

Despite having just a single scene appearance, director Shawn Levy reveals that even a single day of filming left Henry Cavill feeling unwell due to an unusual circumstance – the heavy inhalation of cigar smoke on set.

In a recent interview with the New York Times, Levy remarked that even Henry Cavill, who sported an impressive muscular physique and constantly held a lit cigar throughout the shooting day, was not exempt. It’s been shared that Cavill fell ill due to inhaling cigarette smoke for eight consecutive hours, yet he never faltered once.

Who’s all in Deadpool & Wolverine?

In the Marvel Studios production titled “Deadpool & Wolverine,” the character Deadpool, played by Ryan Reynolds, and Wolverine, portrayed by Hugh Jackman, alter the course of the Marvel Cinematic Universe together. This movie also features Matthew Macfadyen as Paradox, Emma Corrin as Cassandra Nova, and a return of several “Deadpool” cast members including Morena Baccarin, Leslie Uggams, Karan Soni, Stefan Kapi?i?, Brianna Hildebrand, Rob Delaney, and Lewis Tan. Additionally, Aaron Stanford reprises his role as Pyro from the X-Men film series, with speculation that Jennifer Garner may return as Elektra Natchios.

As a gamer, I’m thrilled to share that Kevin Feige, Ryan Reynolds, Shawn Levy, and Lauren Shuler Donner are the producers of this exciting project, with Louis D’Esposito, Wendy Jacobson, Mary McLaglen, Josh McLaglen, Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick, George Dewey, and Simon Kinberg serving as executive producers. The dynamic duo of Ryan Reynolds, Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick, Zeb Wells, and Shawn Levy have penned the script for Deadpool & Wolverine. It’s now ready for you to enjoy exclusively in theaters!
