One of the Best Nintendo Switch 2 Games Has a Free Demo

Among the top-tier Nintendo Switch 2 games launched with the console, one has just released a new free trial version. To be frank, the Nintendo Switch 2’s launch library is quite disappointing compared to other contemporary consoles, with Mario Kart World being the main title and only a few ports of games that are either already on Switch or available on platforms like PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC. Regrettably, there isn’t a free demo for Mario Kart World on the Nintendo Switch, but one of the ported games offers this feature.

The new free demonstration of Street Fighter 6, one of 2023’s highly anticipated games, can now be downloaded for free on the Nintendo eShop by all Nintendo Switch 2 owners. It seems Capcom decided to offer this demo, and interestingly, it comes as a bonus when you purchase the Nintendo Switch 2 version of the game on the same platform.

It’s unclear whether this is a temporary demo or a permanent addition to the Nintendo eShop; however, the absence of details seems to indicate the latter possibility. Regarding its port, this is the debut appearance of the game on any Nintendo Switch console as it was not previously available for the initial Switch release.

Originating from Capcom, Street Fighter 6 might lead you to think it’s the sixth installment in the series, but actually, it’s the seventh mainline Street Fighter game. Launched in 2023,

Regarding the demo’s characteristics, it provides a glimpse into the game rather than the full experience. Notably absent are arcade, online, and battle hub modes, while World Tour, Versus, Gyro Battle, Local Wireless, and Calorie Contest are accessible. In addition, there are two playable maps: Training Room and Metro City Downtown. Three characters are included – Kimberley, Luke, and Jamie. As for character progress, your character created in World Tour can be carried over, but no progress within the mode is transferable.
