Just a little over two years after its initial release on the PlayStation 5, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is set to swing into PCs in January 2025 – a speed that would make even the web-slinging hero himself green with envy!
The iconic Marvel web-slinger is returning to PC next year.
At New York Comic Con, it was announced by PlayStation and Marvel Games (through the PlayStation Blog) that Insomniac Games’ Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is slated for release on Windows PC on January 30, 2025. The porting of this game is being managed in collaboration with Nixxes Software, a skilled team who have also been responsible for the PC adaptations of several other PlayStation games such as Marvel’s Spider-Man, Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, and Ghost of Tsushima.

This implies that unlike the initial game, we may not expect any story-based downloadable content additions to the sequel.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 debuted for PlayStation 5 on October 20, 2023, and has since sold 11 million copies by April 2024. The upcoming PC version of this game is expected within a year, making it one of the quickest expansions to the collection of PlayStation Studios games playable on Windows PC.
Speaking of God of War Ragnarök, it originally debuted on PlayStation consoles in November 2022, but didn’t come to PC until September 2024.
Although it may be disheartening for fans to learn that there won’t be a new story for the DLC, rest assured that Insomniac Games remains active. Right now, their team is fully engaged in developing Marvel’s Wolverine.
