One of WWE’s Biggest Superstars Finally Returning After More Than a Year

On tonight’s episode of Monday Night Raw, WWE viewers were in for quite a treat as one of their most celebrated superstars made a stunning comeback. Michael Cole and Wade Barrett announced the bracket for the Queen of the Ring tournament, revealing that Asuka would be participating. This marks Asuka’s long-anticipated return to the ring after more than a year‘s absence due to a severe knee injury. The Empress of Tomorrow is now ready to make her triumphant return on next week’s Monday Night Raw.

Next Monday on Raw, Asuka is set to come back and participate in a Queen of the Ring qualifier that doubles as a sneak peek of an anticipated showdown. She’ll be competing against Ivy Nile, Raquel Rodriguez, and WWE’s most buzzing newcomer, Stephanie Vaquer. No matter who emerges victorious, spectators are likely to go wild when Asuka and Vaquer finally lock horns in a one-on-one encounter at some point during the match.

If Asuka advances to the next round, she’ll team up with Roxanne Perez who pinned Kairi Sane in their match that also included Liv Morgan and Rhea Ripley. Two more Fatal 4-Ways are scheduled before Night of Champions, where a Queen of the Ring will be chosen.

A Long-Awaited Return

Since March last year, right before WrestleMania 40, Asuka got injured which is why she was withdrawn from the Queen of the Ring tournament and replaced by Dakota Kai. This injury also prevented her and Kairi Sane from defending their Women’s Tag Team Championships at WrestleMania. Later on, they lost their titles to Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair at Backlash. Since then, Asuka has been out of action.

After her knee surgery, fans have been eagerly awaiting Asuka’s comeback, with whispers suggesting she might return earlier this year. However, these rumors didn’t materialize at either the Royal Rumble or WrestleMania 41. Now, it looks like Asuka is ready to get back in the ring, and with Sane having fully healed from her injury as well, there’s speculation about whether they’ll reprise their Tag Team success or embark on individual single runs. For now, we can only wait and see what unfolds in the Queen of the Ring tournament. Here’s a look at the full details of the competition.
