One Piece narrates the journey of Monkey D. Luffy, a spirited young pirate on a mission to become the Pirate King and claim the fabled treasure. More than two decades ago, as the first Pirate King was being executed, he revealed that all his riches were hidden in one location. Anyone who finds it can claim it as their own, thus initiating the Grand Age of Piracy, where countless adventurers ventured into the sea, risking life and limb. The Marines, the naval forces of the World Government, are tasked with maintaining order across all seas. However, their actions have often been questionable as they obey the World Government’s commands blindly, even if it means destroying entire islands.
Admirals are high-ranking Marine officials, often considered the most powerful Marines. After a time jump, the Marines saw new leaders like Greenbull and Fujitora emerge. Sakazuki was promoted to Fleet Admiral by defeating Kuzan, who later joined the Blackbeard Pirates. However, as we progress into the Final Saga, we encounter characters who seem stronger than these Admirals. For instance, Kizaru, once thought invincible in the Sabaody Archipelago, was effortlessly defeated by Luffy during the Egghead incident. This suggests that Luffy and his crew will likely face even more powerful adversaries in the Final Saga.
Blackbeard
In the world of One Piece, Blackbeard’s true strengths remain largely unclear, but with two potent Devil Fruits at his disposal, he outclasses many of the series’ most powerful villains and characters. Blackbeard is often seen as a significant antagonist in the Final Saga, set to clash with Luffy. Given that Luffy surpasses the Admirals in strength, his formidable rival must pose a formidable challenge.
Big Mom
In simpler terms, Big Mom was once a member of the Yonko, similar to Kaido, though her current status is uncertain following her defeat by Law and Kidd. Her unique devil fruit enables her to control souls, while her sturdy physique offers resistance not just to regular gunfire and cannon blasts, but also to some of the strongest attacks known in the story. So far, none of the Admirals – Fujitora, Greenbull, or Kizaru – have demonstrated superior strength compared to the Yonko at this stage of the narrative.
Kaido
In the Wano Arc of “One Piece,” Kaido was portrayed as the dominant antagonist, known for being the most formidable creature globally, with no prior defeats until Luffy activated his devil fruit. His Mythical Zoan fruit and unmatched expertise in all Haki techniques, including Advanced Conqueror’s Haki, place him above the Admirals. Although the Admirals possess powerful devil fruits and Haki, none can match Kaido’s exceptional abilities or his resilient body that can withstand attacks without the use of Advanced Conqueror’s Haki.
Garling Figarland
With his recent promotion, Garling now ranks as one of Imu’s key subordinates, holding a significant position within the hierarchy. Known for his skills as a swordsman and having once led the Holy Knights, Garling is no stranger to high-ranking roles. He earned this status after winning the tournament during the God Valley Incident, placing him among the most powerful characters in the story. Moreover, it’s plausible that Garling is the individual who left a scar on Whitebeard, as he bears a striking resemblance to someone from Whitebeard’s past—a fact mentioned by Whitebeard himself when referring to Shanks.
Gunko
In the world of “One Piece”, Shamrock’s companion, Gunko, makes her debut on Elbaf. Here, she unveils her unique abilities stemming from her Devil Fruit and her intriguing fashion sense. Although she might not be as potent as Shamrock, her skills demonstrated in the manga are impressive. The Arrow-Arrow Fruit bestowed upon Gunko grants her the ability to create and manipulate bandage-like strips with arrowhead tips. These strips can detach, hover, and be controlled remotely.
Shamrock Figarland
Shamrock now holds the position of the Holy Knights’ chief, much like his father did before him. While we haven’t seen his full abilities yet, he’s a skilled swordsman, similar to Shanks and Garling. Given his intentions to destroy Elbaf, there’s a strong possibility he could become the central villain in this current storyline. The Holy Knights are an incredibly powerful fighting force, under the command of the World Government. The Revolutionary Army is on high alert, preparing for a potential confrontation with the Holy Knights during the impending war.
The Gorosei
The Gorosei, often referred to as the Five Elders, is a group composed of the most powerful Celestial Dragons. During the Egghead Arc, it’s shown that each possesses extraordinary powers, transforming into enormous monsters. Interestingly, in every flashback, such as the Ohara Incident and the God Valley Incident, their appearances remain unchanged, suggesting they may not have aged for many decades or even centuries. They also seem to have incredible regenerative abilities, unlike those granted by a Devil Fruit. After Saturn’s death in Chapter 1125, Garling assumes the new position among them.
One Piece May Have Other More Powerful Characters than Admirals
Given that Monkey D. Luffy seems uninterested in the Admirals, even though he’s aware of their existence, this suggests that perhaps the Admirals are no longer the most powerful entities in the world. The narrative appears to be focusing on introducing more Holy Knights, who serve as enforcers within Mary Geoise. Since these knights outrank the Admirals, it’s not surprising if they are considered stronger than Fujitora, Kizaru, and Greenbull. It’s plausible that they could even surpass Fleet Admiral Akainu in strength.
In earlier times, the Admirals were greatly respected for their fearsome reputation, but the narrative has evolved significantly since then. Loki, who many believe to be King Harald’s killer, is one of the most powerful characters in “One Piece”. However, whether he continues to be seen as a villain or not remains undecided. Before consuming the devil fruit, Loki was already the strongest Giant. Moreover, Imu, who rules the world, could potentially be the strongest character within the storyline. While we don’t know much about Imu or their abilities, their ability to effortlessly defeat Saturn suggests that they are likely stronger than the Admirals.
