One Piece Brings Perona’s Ghosts to Life With Massive New Plushie

One Piece Brings Perona's Ghosts to Life With Massive New Plushie

As a die-hard One Piece fan with more than two decades of sailing through the Grand Line, I can confidently say that Thriller Bark is one of the most spine-tingling arcs in this epic series. From encounters with some of the creepiest villains to adding another valuable member to our beloved Straw Hat crew – none other than the musical skeleton Brook himself!

Among all the arcs in One Piece, Thriller Bark stands out as the most chilling one. Here, Luffy and his crew not only faced some of the scariest villains they’ve ever met but also gained a new team member – Brook, who initially appeared as a musical skeleton. As the story unfolded, he proved to be an invaluable addition to their crew. In this arc, Perona, one of the vibrant villains, stood out for her unique character and Devil Fruit powers that made her ideal for inhabiting the haunted island. Now, One Piece has unveiled a sneak peek at merchandise allowing fans to embody their very own ghost.

The villain from Thriller Bark obtains his supernatural powers from a fruit called Horo Horo no Mi, which is edible. After consuming this Devil Fruit, he can generate numerous “specters” that possess distinct abilities. When these specters pass through a target, they can strip the victim of their will to live, leaving them in a significantly weakened state. Some of the specters Perona creates are even capable of exploding, a power reminiscent of the Dragon Ball Z character Gotenks, who is known for creating explosive apparitions.

As of now, it’s unclear if these plush toys will be available in North America, but Japanese fans can look forward to acquiring this unique piece of the anime series. With One Piece’s increasing popularity, it seems that anything related to the Grand Line could potentially become merchandise.

For enthusiasts eagerly anticipating Thriller Bark’s appearance in the live-action version of One Piece, fans may need to be patient as Brook and the scariest pirates of the Grand Line could take a while to show up. Since the second season is set in locations like Drum Island, Little Garden, and Loguetown, it seems that season three will likely cover Alabasta first, followed by Skypeia. This implies that Thriller Bark might be further down the line, so let’s hope Netflix continues the live-action adaptation for multiple seasons to eventually include Brook.

Keep an eye out for new One Piece merchandise! Stay tuned with Team Anime at ComicBook to catch the newest news about the Grand Line and the Straw Hat Pirates’ adventures.
