Who Are the Rocks Pirates?
Previously, One Piece has hinted that the Rocks Pirates were the initial group of pirates for notables like Whitebeard, Big Mom, and Kaido prior to their rise as Sea Emperors. This crew was suggested to be among the legendary ones chasing a similar treasure to Gol D. Roger’s, but disbanded due to various reasons. However, it was during the enigmatic God Valley Incident where the Rocks Pirates made the most significant impact; this event was hinted to involve Roger joining forces with Garp to confront the entirety of the Rocks Pirates crew.
In the recent episode, it’s clear that the Rocks Pirates have more than just Whitebeard, Big Mom, and Kaido – they also include Stussy, along with some unidentified crew members. It appears that one member hails from Wano Country, while another seems to originate from the Amazons’ homeland. Despite their grand entrance in the anime, there remains a lot of enigma surrounding them as it looks like One Piece might delve back into this crew at some point down the line, keeping us guessing.
What’s Next for One Piece?
Regrettably, episode X of One Piece concludes the God Valley incident flashback, leaving fans longing for more Rocks Pirates action. In this installment, we uncover Kuma’s connection to the events, but it’s also revealed that their initial visit to God Valley was prompted by rumors about the Azure Dragon Devil Fruits – Paw-Paw and Fish-Fish Fruit prizes in a cruel game for the Celestial Dragons. However, as Kuma fulfills his part in the story, the flashback comes to an interim halt.
I’m beyond excited to delve deeper into the upcoming showdown between Roger and Garp! There’s so much left to uncover regarding their encounter, particularly the fate of the Rocks’ crew, especially their captain. Their disbanding in the past seems to be connected to this event somehow. As Kaido obtains one of the Devil Fruits they were pursuing at day’s end, the enigmas are piling up! Yet, as Luffy and his crew continue their quest for the One Piece, we, the fans, will also unravel more about the world’s past history.
