In a recent press release, the Los Angeles Dodgers have announced that they will be teaming up with the Straw Hat Pirates from “One Piece” for a significant event this summer. In their recent announcement, the MLB team has revealed that they are collaborating with anime creators on a unique event. They’ve also shared details about what this night, dubbed “ONE PIECE Night at Dodger Stadium,” will offer to both baseball and anime enthusiasts. According to the teams involved, this event will feature various ONE PIECE activations within and surrounding the stadium. The first 40,000 fans with tickets will receive co-branded ONE PIECE straw hats upon entry, while supplies last. After the game, there will be a special drone show displaying popular characters from the series to conclude the event.
A Ballpark Anime Extravaganza
To generate excitement for the summer anime crossover event, the Los Angeles Dodgers have revealed an exclusive artwork by Eiichiro Oda, the creator of One Piece. The artwork features Monkey D. Luffy wearing Dodger gear and preparing to throw a powerful pitch. Lisa Yamamota, Senior Director and Head of Marketing at Toei Animation, announced the partnership with the Los Angeles Dodgers for ONE PIECE Night at Dodger Stadium on July 3. This unique event promises an unforgettable experience filled with One Piece entertainment, including a spectacular drone show after the game!
Conversely, Lon Rosen, Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer for the Los Angeles Dodgers, expressed enthusiasm about collaborating with Grand Line. “This thrilling alliance between the Dodgers and Toei Animation promises an enjoyable experience at Dodger Stadium,” he said. “It’s fantastic to exhibit ONE PIECE, one of the most beloved franchises globally, to the top-tier fan base we have here.

In recent times, “One Piece” has organized special events with teams like the Seattle Mariners and Boston Red Sox.
