The popular anime series, One Piece, is gearing up to make a splash in Major League Baseball again by teaming up with the Seattle Mariners for a thrilling game night event. Over the past year, One Piece has been making waves across various industries as part of its 25th anniversary celebration, including collaborations with sports leagues like the National Football League, Major League Baseball, and the National Basketball Association. This time around, Seattle Mariners enthusiasts are in for a unique experience featuring exclusive merchandise during a special game night.
Just as One Piece collaborated with the Los Angeles Lakers for a unique NBA event not too long ago, Toei Animation has now officially partnered with the Seattle Mariners of Major League Baseball. This partnership is for the event called “Seattle Mariners X ONE PIECE Night“, happening on April 8th at T-Mobile Park in Seattle during the Seattle Mariners vs. Houston Astros game. If you’re keen on attending, tickets are currently available and expected to sell out fast. Check out the announcement poster for this special game night below.
What Is Seattle Mariners x One Piece Night?
I’ll be witnessing an exciting collaboration between One Piece and the Seattle Mariners, dubbed as “ONE PIECE Night,” happening at the T-Mobile Park during the Seattle Mariners versus Houston Astros game. The tickets offer a commemorative T-shirt for the event, but they’re limited, so grab them while you can. During the game itself, there are hints of One Piece-themed activities, and get ready for a grand demonstration of the One Piece Card Game during the event too! Lisa Yamatoya, Senior Director, Global Marketing for Toei Animation Inc., expressed her enthusiasm about this partnership, stating, “We’re eager to join forces with the Seattle Mariners for ONE PIECE Night in April. We can hardly wait to share this experience with both anime and baseball enthusiasts at T-Mobile Park. It promises to be an unforgettable evening!
Liz McCloskey, Mariners Director of Sales Development & Group Events, shared her enthusiasm about partnering with Toei Animation on the popular series One Piece, promising an exciting additional event at T-Mobile Park for fans. All summer long, Mariners baseball provides entertainment for everyone, and this season, we’re delivering unique collaborations at the ballpark that will keep our community engaged.”
If the previous collaborations of One Piece with other sports teams are any indication, it promises to be an enjoyable evening for fans.
One Piece’s Anime Is Coming Back Soon
The anime adaptation of “One Piece” has taken a break for the past six months to prepare for the continuation of the Egghead Arc. Excitingly, we’ve been waiting since last Fall, and now it’s confirmed: Part 2 of the “One Piece: Egghead Arc” will debut on April 6th in Japan. Great news! For those living outside of Japan, you can stream these fresh episodes via Netflix and Crunchyroll as soon as they air. So mark your calendars and get ready to join the adventure again right when the new episodes go live!
The anime will resume exactly from where it ended years ago, making this an ideal moment for fans to revisit or start watching One Piece. Coincidentally, there’s a fresh remaster of the Fish-Man Island Arc available now, which has been condensed from its original 50 episodes into a more manageable 21-episode arc. This revamped version showcases improved visuals and audio quality to better align with contemporary anime standards.
