I’m absolutely thrilled to share that “One Piece” is making its grand comeback on our screens this coming Spring! To add to the excitement, a fresh spin-off anime is also in the works. At AnimeJapan 2025, “One Piece” stole the show by unveiling some of their exciting future plans for the anime. After a long hiatus of six months, the anime’s return promises to be bigger than what fans have been anticipating. This renewed enthusiasm extends to a brand new spinoff anime series that will synchronize its launch with popular social media and web platforms. I simply can’t wait to dive back into the world of “One Piece”!
2025 at AnimeJapan, I’m thrilled to share that Toei Animation and the beloved “One Piece” franchise have unveiled plans for a fresh adaptation of the manga series titled “Koisuru One Piece.” This exciting Shonen Jump+ spinoff revolves around a band of friends who bear names reminiscent of our favorite Straw Hat crew members. Starting April 1st, this daily anime will be premiering on YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok in Japan, as we celebrate the grand return of “One Piece” to our screens. What Is Koisuru One Piece?
Back in 2018, I was thrilled to discover my own little piece of the One Piece universe, lovingly crafted by Daiki Ihara for Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ service. Dubbed “One Piece In Love,” this officially recognized spinoff follows an adorable trio who share names with some of Luffy’s crew members and find themselves bonding over their shared passion for Eiichiro Oda’s One Piece franchise. Miki Kobayashi is leading the charge on this new anime series, with Yu Kamatani and Hazuki Omoya stepping up as our brilliant directors under Toei Animation. I can hardly wait to see this heartwarming tale unfold!
Starting from April 1st through the 5th, you’ll find promotional content for the upcoming premiere of One Piece: Egghead Arc Part 2 on YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok daily. As of now, it remains unclear if the anime will be accessible outside of Japan after its release. Meanwhile, the new anime adaptation of Koisuru One Piece will showcase Hanao Iida as character designer, Midori Tanaka as art director, Emi Nakajima as color designer, and Kosuke Ohori as cinematographer. The main voice cast includes Ryosuke Kanemoto as Luffy Yamamoto, Ayane Sakura as Nami Koyama, and Yuichi Nakamura as Usopp Nakatsugawa.
One Piece: Egghead Part 2 Release Date Revealed
One Piece: The Egghead Saga Continues”
Beginning on April 6th in Japan, this continuation of the Egghead Arc will be available for streaming on both Netflix and Crunchyroll. While there’s lots to look forward to on Crunchyroll that weekend, it’s particularly exciting as they announced at AnimeJapan2025 that they have plans for a double premiere weekend for the anime’s comeback!
In addition to releasing an 83-minute long recap special covering the first half of the Egghead Arc (which concluded last Fall), Crunchyroll will also be debuting the first two brand new episodes of the series’ return.
On April 5th, Crunchyroll will broadcast Episode 1123 of “One Piece”. A day later, on April 6th, viewers in the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, and Latin America can watch Episode 1124. After such a long wait for new episodes, fans of “One Piece” are eagerly anticipating a surplus of anime to catch up on all the missed time.
