One Piece’s Elbaf Arc Introduces the Hero of the Giants

As an observer with a deep appreciation for One Piece and its intricate storytelling, I find myself utterly captivated by the introduction of Jarul, the Hero of the Giants, in Chapter 1135. His history, spanning over four centuries, is a testament to the richness of the world created by Eiichiro Oda. The fact that he’s older than most characters in the series yet remains one of the strongest giants is nothing short of impressive.

Jarul’s sword-pierced head might raise eyebrows, but considering his age and the brutal nature of the world of One Piece, it’s a minor detail that doesn’t seem out of place. The way the other giants, including Luffy, treat this as a non-issue speaks volumes about their resilience and acceptance of the harsh realities of their world.

As a fan who has seen countless twists and turns in One Piece, I can’t help but wonder what role Jarul will play in the Elbaf Arc. Will he join the Straw Hat Pirates on their journey? Or does he have a more significant part to play in the grand scheme of things? Only time will tell, and I can’t wait to find out!

Oh, and as for a joke: I guess we should be thankful that Jarul didn’t decide to pierce his sword through his other end… otherwise, he would have been a walking hill on both sides!

So far, the Elbaf Arc in the series “One Piece” has unveiled a number of unexpected turns and shocks for viewers. Ever since the Little Garden Arc during the Arabasta Saga, fans have been eagerly anticipating the Straw Hat crew’s journey through the Land of Giants. However, their voyage takes an unexpected turn when they encounter trouble on Egghead Island and must devise a plan to reach Elbaf.

Unfortunately, Admiral Kizaru and even members of the Gorosei make an appearance on the island, leaving the crew with no other option but to engage in battle against some of the most formidable and influential figures globally. Fortunately, the Giants arrive at the nick of time to ensure their safe departure from the island.

The team encounters a minor predicament upon reaching the island due to an obstacle called ‘Road’. Nevertheless, with their reunion complete, the colossal beings are preparing a grand reception for them. As rogues of the sea, they frequently contrive ways to infiltrate any dominion. But Elbaf differs from the World Government and even boasts some of its fearless soldiers as pirates. Thus, they disregard those regulations and welcome the Straw Hat Pirates warmly, considering them as kin. In chapter 1135 of ‘One Piece’, the narrative presents Jarul, a legendary figure among the Giants who could play a significant part in the Elbaf Saga.

One Piece Chapter 1135 Introduces Jarul to the Straw Hat Pirates

In the popular series “One Piece,” Beardhill Jarul is a lesser character who debuted in Chapter 866, often referred to along with Jorul as the Giants’ Heroes. Prior to Dory and Brogy, they served as captains of the Giant Warrior Pirates. They had fought together for an astonishing three centuries before finally retiring. Approximately 63 years ago, they traveled to Warland Village to enjoy a 12-day feast preceding the Winter Solstice Festival. However, on the seventh day, Linlin’s unusual hunger sickness took an unfortunate turn, leading to Jorul and other giants being fatally wounded.

In a surprising turn of events, the giants managed to quiet her down, yet Jarul, feeling remorseful, decided against taking her life. Moved by Carmel’s entreaty, he departed, leaving Linlin alone under the agreement that they both vacate Elbaf. Later on, Jarul could be seen paying his respects at the graves of Jorul and several other giants. At the time of the incident, Jarul was 345 years old. Fast forward to the present, he has aged to 408 years old but remains highly revered among the giants. Luffy describes Jarul as being so tall that he appears like a towering hill, making him one of the oldest characters in the narrative.

In contrast to humans, giants live much longer, though the tale doesn’t disclose exactly how long. After learning the Straw Hat Pirates were present, Jarul joins the feast. However, what startles everyone is that he bears a sword embedded in his head. Only Luffy seems disturbed by this; the others find it insignificant. Remarkably, Jarul claims the sword was instrumental in saving his life. This marks his debut in the Elbaf Saga, yet despite his advanced age, he ranks among the strongest of giants.
