One Piece’s Elbaf Arc Unleashes a Shocking Twist That Changes Everything!

For approximately two years now, Gear Five first appeared in One Piece, and since then, nothing has come close to surprising fans as much. After more than two decades of Luffy using “Gum Gum” before every move, the shocking revelation that Luffy’s devil fruit wasn’t actually the Gum-Gum Fruit was a massive plot twist that nobody saw coming. To add to this, the latest Elbaf Arc has just dropped what might be the biggest twist in One Piece during the last two years since the Gear Five and Nika reveal, suggesting that things are only going to heat up from here on out.

Chapter 1150 has revealed a shocking revelation as Imu single-handedly changes the course of events on Elbaf. In this chapter, we witness Imu transform Dorry and Brogy into demonic beings resembling Ancient Giant-kind with wings, who follow Imu’s every instruction, even killing Jarul. As the story unfolds, it appears that more Giants may be swayed towards the dark side, creating a significant plot twist as the island that initially welcomed Luffy and the Straw Hats now seems to turn against them. Furthermore, it remains uncertain whether Gear Five can match Imu’s divine powers, which have now brought magic and demons into existence within the world of One Piece.

One Piece Teases All of Elbaf Could Turn Into Enemies

Elbaf has appeared on the Straw Hat pirates’ maps since their initial encounter with Dorry and Brogy on Little Garden. Unlike previous arcs in “One Piece,” where the Straw Hats typically arrive at an island, make allies by the end, and hold a farewell banquet, they were welcomed on Elbaf from the get-go. The customary banquet even took place early in the arc, amidst emotional reunions. However, it appears that for the first time, the Straw Hats might depart from an island as enemies, as recent chapters hint at grand schemes by Imu and the World Government involving the Giants, potentially in an impending war.

To put it simply, the most surprising revelation by far is the nature of Imu’s powers, reminiscent in their absurdity to Gear Five. The first appearance of Gear Five on Wano and its introduction of gods within One Piece left room for doubt that these were merely myths and legends. However, the Elbaf Arc has shown us that not only gods exist, but also devils, demons, and magic, making it clear that the world of One Piece will never be the same again.
