As a devoted One Piece fan who has been sailing these pirate seas for over two decades now, it’s safe to say that I’ve weathered many storms and navigated through countless twists and turns alongside Luffy and his Straw Hat crew. The recent hiatus in the manga was like a sudden calm before an epic storm, leaving us fans adrift without our weekly dose of One Piece action. But fear not, fellow pirates! Our favorite sea-faring adventurers are about to set sail again as Chapter 1132 is on the horizon.
As a dedicated One Piece fan, I’ve been riding the waves of anticipation and anxiety, waiting for some good news. Finally, it’s here! The manga is set to return from its unexpected break this Fall, bringing much-needed relief to our community. It’s been a challenging stretch for us, with the anime, manga, and even live-action projects all ongoing, but without a new installment for quite some time.
Originally set to premiere in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine on November 17th, Chapter 1132 of One Piece was unexpectedly postponed due to creator Oda requiring additional time for health reasons. The editorial department at Shueisha made the announcement that instead, Chapter 1132 will be released on December 1st. Fortunately, no further breaks in the series have been announced, and it appears that Chapter 1132 may continue its regular weekly publication pace moving forward.
Why Did One Piece’s Manga Go on Break?
Previously, Shueisha unexpectedly paused the publication of One Piece in November. However, their recent announcement indicated that Oda’s health condition was showing signs of improvement. In an official statement addressed to fans, they explained, “The weekly release of ONE PIECE will be suspended in issues 51 (available on November 18th) and 52 (available on November 25th) due to the author’s poor health. Additionally, One Piece was listed in issue 51’s table of contents and questionnaire postcard, but the necessary corrections could not be made before printing.” They apologized for any inconvenience caused.
Following the confirmation, “One Piece” Chapter 1132 will be released in December, marking the resumption of the series in the first issue of Weekly Shonen Jump for the new year (available on sale December 2nd). It’s encouraging to know that Oda appears to be in good health as he returns to work on the next issue. Fans will be relieved to hear this, as it suggests that Oda is not pushing through any health issues to meet the deadline for the first 2025 Shonen Jump issue.
What to Know About One Piece’s Elbaf Arc
As a gamer, I can’t wait for me and the Straw Hat pirates to dive back into the heart-pounding Elbaf Arc in Chapter 1132! After waiting for what feels like eons, we’ve finally set foot on the legendary island of giants. The action has been non-stop as our original crew is navigating through the island, dodging colossal opponents left and right. Meanwhile, the rest of us are gearing up to join them, along with the entire giant crew! It’s going to be one heck of a ride!
Luffy has previously encountered a Norse god known as Loki, and it seems the foundation is being set for something momentous. This storyline has been gradually developing, making it a critical juncture in the grand Final Saga of the manga “One Piece”. This could very well be one of the last stops before Luffy and his companions reach Laugh Tale. Expect some significant disclosures that may shape the course of the series in the future. Fortunately, the next chapter of “One Piece” will be released this Sunday. You can catch up on “One Piece” Chapter 1132 through Viz Media’s digital Shonen Jump library or Shueisha’s MangaPlus service.
