The narrative of One Piece has undergone significant transformation since the start of the Final Saga, as it unfolds one mystery leading to another. The world is in turmoil, and each region faces its own challenges. Two years ago, Alabasta was devastated due to Crocodile, one of the Seven Warlords, who aimed to destroy the kingdom. Drought, civil war, and widespread belief in Crocodile’s cause made life difficult for its citizens on a daily basis. It wasn’t until the Straw Hats, joined by Princess Vivi, defeated the Warlord and exposed his wrongdoings that peace was restored in Alabasta. The abolishment of the same Seven Warlord System, which occurred post-timeskip during the Reverie, saw significant involvement from Nefertari Cobra, King Riku, and Admiral Fujitora.
In another instance, King Riku endured immense hardships due to a Warlord, and his opinions were significant during the gathering. Regrettably, matters worsened when Cobra requested an audience with the Gorosei. Given the sensitive nature of the Void Century, particularly Queen Lili’s disappearance following the formation of the World Government, it was precarious to ask them questions about this topic. Nevertheless, even Cobra wouldn’t have anticipated his fate: meeting his end within the Throne Room after uncovering one of the world’s most closely guarded secrets. This dramatic turn of events unfolded with the publication of One Piece Chapter 1084 on May 21st, 2023, leaving a lasting, ominous impact on the enigmatic villain at the heart of the manga.
One Piece Chapter 1084 Has the Coldest Ending Panel in the Series
Amidst the turmoil following the Revolutionary Army’s attack on Mariejois, the Throne Room was also buzzing with activity. It was during a discussion about Queen Lili between the Gorosei and King Cobra that Imu made their appearance, taking their rightful seat. The enigmatic leader fixed his gaze upon Cobra, who had just seen his worldview crumble. The significance of the Empty Throne lies in the equal authority held by all allied nations in this council, with no single ruler worldwide. Yet, as Cobra beheld Imu, he came to understand that the World Government was based on nothing but falsehoods and deceit.
Apart from this, he also came to understand that his life would not escape the room once he encountered Imu, which proved to be true in the end. His demise was unveiled during the Wano Country Saga, while the Egghead Incident Arc exposed that Sabo had been falsely accused of the murder, and it was indeed Imu who perpetrated such a vile deed. Upon Cobra’s kingdom learning about their cherished king’s death and the vanishing of Princess Vivi, the legitimate heir to the throne, tears flowed abundantly. When Cobra faced an attack, Sabo, who had been listening in, stepped in to try and rescue the King of Alabasta, but it was already too late.
Despite his tragic demise, his efforts weren’t wasted as he inadvertently aided Sabo in uncovering a crucial secret about the World Government, a revelation that could prove beneficial to the Revolutionary Army. The Revolutionaries have been sparking revolts across various kingdoms and are on the lookout for the opportune moment to dismantle the government entirely. Furthermore, we gain insights into the past through Imu, particularly about Queen Lili, who is regarded as a traitor within their ranks.
