As is customary, enthusiasts can anticipate a column dedicated to SBS questions and answers – a regular feature that translates to “I’m Taking Questions” from Japanese. These answers, provided by Oda, are always a delightful blend of significant lore disclosures and humor, making them a cherished aspect of each book.
In addition to its content, each book boasts striking covers that Oda, known for his intricate character designs, has adorned with multiple characters. This volume features Loki, the Cursed Prince of Elbaf, who is set to make his first appearance here. Fans have already applauded Loki’s design, but they weren’t anticipating Oda would give him a colorful new look with pink and purple hair. It’s surprising because Loki has been portrayed as menacing by the Giants since his introduction. However, his new appearance is endearingly cute. Furthermore, the crew members are looking sharp in their Elbaf outfits, each sporting their distinctive colors.

Loki Is a Major Character in One Piece’s Elbaf Arc
In One Piece Chapter 1130, we get to know Loki more thoroughly than his brief mention in the Whole Cake Island Arc. He’s not just Lola’s ex-fiance, but the cursed prince of the most powerful kingdom on earth, currently serving a sentence for murdering his father. From birth, Loki has been a troublemaker with his mischievous antics towards the Giants. However, it was when he killed their cherished King Harald in pursuit of a legendary devil fruit that they could no longer tolerate his actions. Luffy senses Loki’s presence and encounters him in the Underworld.
In their dialogue, they mention Shanks, who has been a role model for Luffy since his youth. Loki offers to share information about Shanks, but only if Luffy frees him from his restraints first. Trusting Loki despite his criminal past, Luffy is already preparing to assist him. It’s evident that Loki will soon be freed and play a significant role in the storyline. Although he turned down the chance to become a Holy Knight, Loki doesn’t immediately come off as evil. Nonetheless, the narrative needs to reveal more about this fresh character.
