One-Punch Man Artist Absolutely Loves the My Hero Academia Ending

As a dedicated fan of both “My Hero Academia” and “One-Punch Man”, I find myself standing at the crossroads of two extraordinary manga journeys, each marked by the indomitable spirit of their creators. Kohei Horikoshi’s decade-long saga has not only captivated millions but also inspired fellow artists like Yusuke Murata to express their admiration and support.

In the past few days, discussions about the final chapter of “My Hero Academia” manga, particularly focusing on UA Academy, have been rampant among fans and creators alike. Alongside these conversations, there’s been an outpouring of admiration for the work of artist Kohei Horikoshi, who has been instrumental in shaping Izuku Midoriya’s story for more than a decade. As he steps away for a well-deserved rest, fellow artists have been expressing their thoughts on his impressive body of work. Most recently, Yusuke Murata, the artist behind “One-Punch Man” manga, has extended warm wishes to Horikoshi and expressed hope that we’ll see him return to work soon.

Yusuke Murata, the artist behind One-Punch Man, recently expressed his thoughts on the conclusion of My Hero Academia. He stated, “I haven’t finished reading the final chapter of My Hero Academia yet, but I want to extend my deepest gratitude to Horikoshi-sensei for the past decade! You are one of the rare few in Japan with a readership of over 100 million! That’s truly impressive! Just as heroes need rest after their exhausting battles, please take some time to recharge. I look forward to reading your next work in Jump when you’re ready again!”

My Hero Academia: A Time to Say Goodbye

In a recent interview with us at ComicBook, creator Kohei Horikoshi shared thoughts on the success of his franchise and its early days. Although he knew about its popularity abroad, it still seemed unbelievable to him. When he initially started creating this manga, he primarily focused on enjoying the drawing process rather than considering foreign readers.

Kohei went on to say, “It was astonishing to me when the manga began to be serialized and found support in Japan. What truly amazes me now is that people from diverse cultures are appreciating my work. Frankly, I can’t explain the reasons for its popularity myself. To some extent, I try not to focus on it. If I start considering that my manga is widely read overseas, it could potentially alter the way I write. I am thankful, but I choose not to dissect it.”
