One Punch Man season 3 release date speculation, plot, trailer, news

As a seasoned anime enthusiast with a penchant for martial arts and a soft spot for the underdog, I have to say that the long-awaited return of One Punch Man is like a breath of fresh air. Having followed Saitama’s journey since its inception, I can attest to the unique blend of humor, action, and heart that this series offers.

For over five years now, enthusiasts have kept their hopes alive, anticipating the arrival of One Punch Man’s third season, following the unveiling of a much-desired preview earlier this year.

According to the manga created by Yusuke Murata, One-Punch Man tells the story of a powerful hero named Saitama, who is searching for an opponent strong enough to challenge his incredible strength.

So far, we’ve had two knockout seasons, but it’s been a while now since we last saw Saitama on screen to say the least. There’s plenty of story left to tell from the source material though, so what gives?

Read on for everything you need to know about One-Punch Man season 3.

One Punch Man season 3 release date speculation

Although the official launch date for One Punch Man season 3 hasn’t been announced yet, it looks like we might have to wait until at least early 2025 for its arrival.

Initially, we thought the game might be out by 2024 following the trailer released earlier in the year. However, it now appears that’s not going to happen. We’ll continue to provide updates on this page as more details become available!

Fortunately, enthusiasts of One Punch Man have grown accustomed to extended waiting periods. The initial series aired as far back as 2016, with the second one following suit in 2019. Indeed, they’ve honed their skills in practicing patience!

We can confirm for sure that Season 3 of One Punch Man is being produced as of August 2022.

What will the plot of One Punch Man season 3 be?

One Punch Man season 3 will continue the Monster Association arc.

The arc shows the Monster Association attempt to trick the Hero Association by offering up a proposition about heroes and monsters co-existing – which of course turns out to be a ruse. Instead, the monsters want all-out war – so expect lots of action coming our way in season 3!

I, as a supporter, find it intriguing that the narrative also delves into Garou’s character, who finds himself squaring off against ambitious heroes seeking recognition from the Hero Association. Unfortunately, I get drawn into a battle with Genos, Saitama’s disciple, but fortunately, the unparalleled Saitama steps in to resolve the situation.

In terms of continuing chapters from the manga, we’re expecting to pick up at chapter 86.

One Punch Man season 3 cast: Who could return?

Of course, you can count on Saitama and Genos being central figures in the upcoming season of One-Punch Man. Additionally, we’re excited to have all our beloved One-Punch Man characters back with us.

In the leadership tier of this group, you can anticipate figures like Atomic Samurai, Child Emperor, Metal Knight, Zombieman, and several others. As for monsters, while many have been defeated by Saitama, we are certain that Garau and Orochi will play significant roles.

Is there a trailer for One-Punch Man season 3?

Yes! Check out the trailer, released in February 2024, below:

Who can survive Saitama’s death punch?

Although One Punch Man is known as the world’s strongest fighter, not everyone can withstand his intense attacks. However, there are some exceptions to this rule.

One character is Lord Boros, who could withstand a punch from Saitama that was intended to be fatal – his real strength was hidden beneath his armor, which completely shattered upon Saitama’s punch, but even then, he managed to endure two more punches: a standard one and a powerful one. This makes him one of the very few beings in the One Punch Man universe who doesn’t instantly collapse upon impact.

Besides Overgrown Rover, it’s important to mention that Saitama didn’t appear to be trying to harm them, but rather to teach them a lesson in etiquette. Despite holding back his strength, it’s evident that his punch still held tremendous power, so their survival is nothing short of remarkable.
