For over 25 years, Universal Orlando has teamed up with Loews Hotels, producing breathtaking collaborations that are nothing less than exceptional. Before the upcoming hotels opening in connection with Epic Universe, there were already many reasons to adore the accommodations at Universal Orlando. Among these aspects is one frequently underestimated detail that I believe deserves more recognition.
Instead of focusing on how close Universal hotels are to the action, their fitness centers, luxurious pools, and shared amenities across resorts, regardless of price points, or the Early Park Admission that comes with staying at any Universal hotel, I could also emphasize the convenience of having these facilities at your fingertips, ensuring an enjoyable and relaxing stay, whether you’re opting for budget-friendly Endless Summer Resorts or splurging on a luxurious stay at Hard Rock Hotel.
These benefits are truly appealing, providing me with numerous incentives to prefer staying within the premises whenever I visit.
Why Having A Lighted Mirror In The Bathroom Is A Total Hotel Game Changer
Over the past month, I’ve had the pleasure of experiencing not just one but two stunning accommodations: the freshly minted Stella Nova Resort and the vibrant Sapphire Falls at Universal Orlando. Both these gems provide a blend of contemporary comforts and captivating vistas of various parts of the Universal landscape. Yet, it’s the shared thoughtful touch – the backlighting in their bathrooms – that truly stands out for me as a cinema devotee.
I often find myself needing to use the bathroom during the night, and unfortunately, many hotels aren’t particularly accommodating for such occurrences. It seems like I either have to navigate my way carefully around unfamiliar objects in the dark or turn on a bright light at 4 a.m., which can be quite jarring. This has resulted in several bumps and bruises during my vacations.
Instead of carrying my own LED nightlight for most trips, I appreciate that when I stay at a Loews Hotel at Universal, I don’t have to worry about it because many of these hotels offer built-in backlighting – notably through the mirrors – which can be activated during the night and act as a subtle nightlight without being excessively bright. This feature is often underestimated, but it’s one of the advantages that I truly value when choosing to stay at these on-site hotels.
Instead of keeping a strong light on for heavy sleepers, it’s something I prefer to avoid during the day as well. Bright lights can be harsh when showering or relaxing, and I don’t like having them on while doing most tasks in my room except for applying makeup. Fortunately, Loews properties offer various lighting options in both bedrooms and bathrooms, making it a convenient, modernized, and often overlooked advantage of staying at their properties.
It’s not the case that all mirrors in Universal hotels are backlit. While I think the makeup mirror at Loews Royal Pacific Resort does light up, the main mirror doesn’t. However, they both essentially serve the same function.
Without a doubt, Sapphire Falls and Stella Nova are highly recommended stays in my opinion. Notably, Stella Nova offers an extra charm as it’s visually stunning both during the day and at night, with its exterior transforming into a replica of the night sky when everything else turns dark. If you’re debating whether to book a stay before purchasing a ticket for the new Epic Universe, I can’t stress enough how fantastic the Loews hotels are, especially when compared to other theme park accommodations.
