This year, Capcom will be bringing back a polished version of the PS2 classic, Onimusha 2: Samurai’s Destiny, for the PS4. In anticipation of their upcoming main series game, Onimusha: Way of the Sword, they are revisiting their remastering projects, which they initiated six years ago with the release of an enhanced version of Onimusha: Warlords.
Looking at the footage, it appears this is a straightforward remaster of an old classic, keeping the original gameplay intact but polishing up the graphics. I can’t wait to get my hands on it when it drops for the PS4 towards the end of 2025. Best part? It’ll also be playable on the PS5 thanks to backwards compatibility!
