I have been eagerly anticipating this moment since the announcement of its inclusion in the Summer 2024 anime schedule. The key visual featuring Akane Kurokawa and Kana Arima at the beach only adds to my excitement, bringing a sense of fun and relaxation before diving back into the darker sides of the Japanese entertainment industry that “Oshi no Ko” is known for.

In the shadowy depths of the entertainment industry, Aqua is driven by a thirst for retribution. Alongside his twin sister, Ruby, who is following in their late mother’s footsteps to become a renowned idol, Aqua makes his way into a famous theater group. His goal: to unravel the mystery of his father’s identity – the man orchestrating their mother’s tragic demise and a former member of the very same theater troupe that Aqua now seeks to infiltrate.
Additionally, a live-action TV show and film are being developed in Japan for release later this year. It’s unclear, however, where else these adaptations will be made available internationally beyond Amazon Prime.
