As a devoted fan who has grown up alongside the Brockman family, I can hardly contain my excitement for the Outnumbered Christmas special! It’s been six long years since we last saw the hilarious antics of this dysfunctional yet lovable family, and the thought of their return fills me with joy.
Fervor among fans is mounting as the Outnumbered Christmas special draws nearer, only about three months off, and it appears the actors themselves can’t wait either.
This cherished sitcom about parenthood will make a comeback with its premiere of a completely fresh episode, slated for later in the year. The talented cast members Hugh Dennis, Claire Skinner, Tyger Drew-Honey, Daniel Roche, and Ramona Marquez will all be reprising their roles.
Marquez admitted that they haven’t shot the scene just yet, while Roche concurred, stating they have not completed it as of now.
Marquez went on to say: “We’ve gotten together a few times and have had some meetings, but production starts shortly. However, we haven’t received the script yet; we only know a little bit about it, which makes us curious to learn more as well!
It appears that Dennis’s earlier statement about filming not starting until November of this year might still hold true, given the latest comments from the cast.
Roche further discussed the fan response to the show’s comeback announcement, expressing: “It’s been heartwarming, it’s been delightful. To be truthful, we had a feeling… since we interact frequently throughout the year, our families are quite close, and whenever we produce something new, it always receives positive reactions.
We had a feeling something good would happen, but we didn’t foresee just how much positive response we’d receive. In mere hours, we had hundreds of comments and thousands of likes – it was overwhelming, heartwarming, and we’re truly grateful for it. We hope we can live up to their expectations.
Previously, Dennis expressed his excitement about rejoining the series, stating: “I’m genuinely excited for it, and we are all eagerly awaiting it. It will certainly feel different, won’t it, since I believe our family no longer resides under one roof.
There are numerous aspects worth contemplating, and one of the appealing features of this program is its authentic portrayal of real-life.
Outnumbered will return to the BBC this Christmas.
