Overwatch 2, developed by Blizzard Entertainment, experienced its largest update to date with Season 15’s Perks, and Season 16 continues the momentum with the introduction of a new character. The new addition is Freja, who was once a search and rescue specialist but now works as a bounty hunter. Her path crosses with Maximilien’s, but despite their disagreements, he entrusts her with the mission of tracking down an unidentified target that they both know.
The animated preview highlights various skills that Freja possesses. These include using a crossbow, throwing timed explosives, and gliding. She also carries a bolas which functions as both a whirlpool trap and an explosion. Fortunately, players won’t have to wait long to try her out, as a test period has been scheduled for March 21st through the 24th.
The launch date for Season 16 of Overwatch 2 has yet to be announced; keep an eye out for further updates regarding new content and upcoming cosmetics. At the moment, Overwatch 2 can be played on Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
