Overwatch 2 Season 15 is Live With Perks, Loot Boxes, and Limited-Time Event

The live fifteenth season of Overwatch 2, titled Honor and Glory, is now active, marking its largest update in quite some time. This significant expansion brings back Loot Boxes as well as introduces Perks to the game. A new Premium Battle Pass has been added, offering a new Mythic skin for Zenyatta among other rewards, but it’s the innovative Perk system that is generating the most buzz in the hero shooter community – this could be the biggest game-altering development the game has experienced in a while.

In each game, players can utilize two minor abilities, known as Minor Perks, and one major ability, referred to as a Major Perk. These special skills are earned through inflicting damage, healing teammates, or defeating opponents. These perks bring about some fascinating modifications to a hero’s gameplay experience. For example, when D.Va ejects, she temporarily gains 75 additional health points, and by using her Defense Matrix, she can convert 150 hit points into shields that regenerate based on 25% of the damage they absorb.

Instead of Ultimates, there’s no advancement toward another hero’s skills when switching – you’ll start over at level 1. Yet, any previously earned skill progress is preserved, allowing for easy reversion to your previous character.
