It’s no surprise that after NetEase’s Marvel Rivals outshone Overwatch 2 in terms of popularity and viewership, Blizzard Entertainment would eventually react. And indeed, they have announced an Overwatch 2 Spotlight livestream to talk about significant PvP updates, which they claim are groundbreaking.
On February 12th at 10 AM Pacific Time, the broadcast will explore “stunning modifications in gameplay mechanics.” It will also provide a “preview” of new characters, maps, and forthcoming content. To make things even more exciting, “many” content creators will be present at Blizzard Entertainment to stream live gameplay highlights.
Fans who watch a creator’s Twitch stream for an hour can get the free Legendary skin for Lucio’s Cyber DJ, which was previously sold as premium in-game currency. This has left many players disappointed. So far, Blizzard hasn’t said if they will issue refunds.
You can now play Overwatch 2 on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC, and Nintendo Switch. The game is currently in the midst of Season 14: Havoc, introducing a new Tank character. For more information, click here.
