Overwatch 2 Stadium Mode — Best Moira Builds: Best items, powers, and gameplay tips

Overwatch 2 has a new mode called Stadium, and I’m mildly addicted to it.

In this contest spanning as many as 7 rounds, competitors engage in multiple gameplay styles, utilizing a selection of characters from Overwatch’s primary roster. An interesting twist is that each round awards you with money, which can then be used to purchase various items, much like in Multiplayer Online Battle Arenas (MOBAs).

In Overwatch 2, the diverse array of objects, abilities, and passive traits merge and enhance one another, significantly altering the game’s appearance. To add to this, the game mode includes third-person perspective play, further enriching the experience.

If you’re still learning the ropes with Stadium mode in Overwatch 2, you might find yourself short on time to go over the extensive list of Stadium perks and abilities. I’ve come across several “top build guides” for Moira online, but many of them don’t cut it for me. Here’s my preferred build for Moira, along with some tips on how to make the most out of it. I believe you’ll find it more effective.

Best Overwatch 2 Stadium Moira Powers

Moira is a support character who is infamous for her ability to deal damage, rather than just healing others. Her orbs and Biotic Grasp skills are beneficial for those, such as myself, who may not have exceptional aiming abilities, thanks to their wide area impact. On console platforms, this allows for quicker movements by adjusting the sensitivity of your joystick without compromising accuracy, in contrast to aim-dependent heroes with hitscan mechanics.

Indeed, she’s designed as a supportive character overall, and this build offers the optimal blend of her support and offensive abilities.

As a tech enthusiast, I’m all about maximizing the potential of my Biotic Orbs. The top rank empowers me to dish out damage while simultaneously healing myself and other teammates. Each subsequent rank adds more orbs to my arsenal, which can be utilized for both healing purposes or dealing massive damage. This build truly excels in maps with narrow corridors and choke points, but I’ve also found success in overwhelming squishy DPS and support heroes by unleashing a barrage of four orbs straight at their faces, followed by a quick retreat for an added surprise orb.

This construction not only amplifies its lethality, but also boosts ability power and extends the reach of your projectiles as well.

Best Overwatch 2 Stadium Moira Items

As an observer, it appears that each piece in this collection is geared towards amplifying Moira’s power in terms of damage and healing output. Among the four essential items for her build, there’s some flexibility for you to incorporate extra abilities that resonate with your unique playstyle.

After getting accustomed to Moira’s multiball functions, the aim is to simply locate vulnerable opponents and relentlessly attack them, focusing on direct hits. Once you acquire Smart Orbs, they will move more slowly when striking targets or aiding allies, which is ideal for taking out characters like Mercy or Juno from the sky. The healing orbs will follow you as well, while traveling with the DPS characters you’re defeating. This strategy effectively counters flankers and attackers who might otherwise assume an easy victory. If you gather enough funds, you can also apply Liquid Nitrogen to Smart Orbs, slowing down heroes such as Genji and Cassidy, significantly impacting their performance. Essentially, this tactic disrupts anyone’s day, but it may be subject to a balance adjustment in the future.

Piling on multiple items that boost Ability percentages will significantly enhance both your damage and healing capabilities throughout the game, and also significantly amplify the power of Moira’s ultimate. By summoning a death ball, launching four more, then deploying your ultimate over it – you can obliterate entire teams with this approach.

Overwatch 2 Stadium is surprisingly awesome

In Overwatch 2, the Stadium Mode has given me one of the most enjoyable gaming experiences in a while. It expands upon the achievements of the perk systems incorporated into the original modes, and offers a taste of the personalization teased from the now-defunct Overwatch 2 “Story Mode.

It might take some time to get the right mix in this game, but I’ve found Moira and Mei to be excessively powerful, while Ashe seems to need adjustments. Nevertheless, it’s evident that Overwatch 2 is continuing to satisfy its players, almost a decade since its initial release.

As a researcher delving into the realm of video games, I am excited to share that the much-anticipated Stadium Mode for Overwatch 2 has now been released across various platforms. Players can experience this new mode on Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and Windows PC.
