Overwatch 2 x Street Fighter 6 Collaboration Starts on May 20th

As if Gundam Wing wasn’t already exciting enough, Blizzard Entertainment has revealed another collaboration for Overwatch 2 – Street Fighter 6 by Capcom! A fresh new animated trailer is out now, featuring some epic face-offs. I can’t wait to see characters like Juno going head-to-head with Chun-Li, while Widowmaker takes on Cammy. But the real showdown comes when Hanzo steps up as Ryu enters the fray!

Some notable character skins are: Kiriko transforming into Juno, Sigma taking on M. Bison’s appearance, Zenyatta adopting Dhalsim’s likeness, Soldier 76 emulating Guile, and Winston channeling Blanka. Towards the end of the trailer, we catch a glimpse of Hanzo playing as Ryu, executing iconic moves such as the Hadouken and Shoryuken.

Is it curious that Doomfist doesn’t have a skin, considering his move set seems to draw inspiration from fighting games? Indeed, it is an intriguing point. However, starting on May 20th, we can expect the collaboration to expand beyond just a new skin, including exciting extras like emotes, victory poses, and highlight intros.

You can now get your hands on Overwatch 2 across various platforms like the Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, PC, and Nintendo Switch. The latest season has introduced a fresh gameplay mode called Stadium, where players have the opportunity to enhance heroes with assorted items, thereby modifying their gaming strategies.
