Owen Wilson’s New Golf Series ‘Stick’ Debuts to Rotten Tomatoes Fresh Rating

The freshly premiered golf comedy by Owen Wilson received a “Fresh” rating from a well-known movie and television critic.

According to Rotten Tomatoes, the newly released sports comedy series titled “Stick” featuring Owen Wilson has received a positive evaluation with a “Fresh” rating upon its debut on AppleTV+. At the moment of writing, the show is enjoying a 69% approval rating, calculated from a total of 13 expert reviews. Unfortunately, there aren’t enough user-submitted reviews to reflect on the Rotten Tomatoes “Popcornmeter,” which presents an average based on viewer opinions for movies or series.

Jason Kelly is the maker of the series titled “Stick.” In this show, Wilson plays Pryce Cahill, a once-prominent golfer who shifted to coaching and salesmanship post-retirement. When Peter Dager’s character, Santi Wheeler, a gifted young golfer on the verge of abandoning the sport due to family issues, Cahill extends a helping hand, aiming to restore both their lives. The main cast of “Stick” also includes Lilli Kay, Mariana Treviño, Judy Greer, Timothy Olyphant, Ryan Kiera Armstrong, and stand-up comedian Marc Maron, who brings Mitts to life – a role depicting Cahill’s longtime friend and ex-pro caddy.

Beginning June 4th on Apple TV+, new episodes will be released weekly leading up to the season finale on July 23rd. Before its premiere, this upcoming series showcases an unprecedented portrayal of family dynamics within the world of golf.
