Pacific Drive,” an unusual driving game/survival roguelite from Ironwood Studios, has now been purchased one million times since its launch in February 2024. The developers shared this information in a recent tweet, celebrating their first anniversary and hinting at more to come, saying “We’ll be back in the Zone soon.
For both PS5 and PC gamers, “Pacific Drive” is set within the Olympic Exclusion Zone, a location where enigmatic tests took place. A player, traveling in their station wagon, accidentally discovers this area and gets drawn into it, only to be transported inside. In the Zone, they engage in fervent driving rather than combat, trying desperately to dodge the Anomalies. Their objective is to gather various materials, map out alternative routes, and enhance their vehicle in order to successfully exit the Zone.
I’ve just finished reviewing “Pacific Drive” and I must say, it’s been a thrilling ride! I awarded it an impressive 8 out of 10, appreciating its captivating visuals and engaging gameplay. Since its launch, it’s received three delightful updates for free! These updates have introduced fresh cosmetics, garage decorations, and more than 50 customizable gameplay settings to tailor the experience to your preference. Give it a spin and see what you think!
Players have the opportunity to explore fresh gameplay options such as Iron Wagon (permanent death) and Nuclear Journey (higher radiation levels and severe environmental perils). Additionally, there’s Joyride, which simplifies crafting needs and reduces damage taken, offering a more laid-back gaming experience.
One year, three major updates, and one million copies sold. ♥️
Thank you to everyone who’s played our surreal survival driving adventure! 🌲🚘
Your passion and appreciation have meant the world to us – and we’re not done yet.
We’ll see you back in the Zone very soon.
