According to the studio’s financial report for the third quarter of fiscal year 2025 (available here), the release of Shadows on the Switch 2 and the Valley of Memories story expansion have both increased the number of active players. Returning the series to feudal Japan with classic parkour and stealth gameplay, and featuring the unique styles of Naoe and Yasuke, Shadows has delivered a Japanese Assassin experience that fans have been eagerly awaiting.

Since reappearing, she’s demonstrated impressive creativity and intelligence, becoming a key character on Supergirl. Today marks the 44th anniversary of the release of the French film Quest for Fire (February 12, 1982). While not a widely known title, this fantasy-adventure movie was groundbreaking for its time, challenging almost every filmmaking convention. Directed by Jean-Jacques Annaud and adapted from a 1911 novel by J.-H. Rosny, Quest for Fire is remarkable for having no spoken dialogue and is considered a uniquely innovative film that’s unlikely to be replicated.

Tobe Hooper’s The Texas Chainsaw Massacre is a truly iconic horror film – scary, well-made, and hugely influential. If you’re a fan of the genre, it’s essential viewing. However, it will be removed from Netflix on February 18th, which is unfortunate timing given the recent announcement that A24 is creating a new Texas Chainsaw Massacre TV series and movie. The original 1974 film, which started it all, was inspired by the crimes of Ed Gein and focuses on Leatherface, a terrifying, chainsaw-wielding killer who is part of a disturbed, cannibalistic family.

The anime series will begin airing on Japanese television in April. However, the movie Infinity Castle isn’t part of the broadcast and isn’t currently available on any streaming services. While Japan continues to show the film in theaters, its streaming release is still delayed. Interestingly, Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc, which came out two months before Infinity Castle in September, already has a confirmed streaming date on Crunchyroll. The anime’s official website recently announced another round of screenings in Japan, promising a special bonus for attendees, but these will only be in select cinemas.

A new graphic novel called The Owl House: The Long-Lived King is coming out on September 26th! Created by Dana Terrace and Mikki Crisostomo, with art by Daun Han, this story picks up after the end of the series. It focuses on King as he grapples with being a Titan and the realization that he’ll outlive his friends. Despite this sadness, he’s determined to enjoy their time together, even considering using a device from the Collector to erase his unhappy memories.

Okay, so I just saw that Roadside Research, this new co-op game where you basically mess around with gas (sounds weird, I know!), dropped today and it’s available on Game Pass! I’m definitely checking it out. It’s getting pretty good reviews so far – around 80% positive on Steam. It’s too new to have a score on the Xbox Store yet, but everything I’m seeing seems to match what people are saying on Steam – looks like it’s a fun, silly time!
