PS1 Remaster for Cult-Classic RPG Releases Without Warning

At the showcase event, a timeless RPG classic from PlayStation 1 was revived by Square Enix. This company has built quite a reputation for breathing new life into some of its cherished titles on contemporary gaming platforms. For instance, they’ve been working on the upcoming HD-2D Remake of Dragon Quest 1 & 2, which was also highlighted during the Nintendo Direct. They continue to modernize their iconic games with the announcement of SaGa Frontier 2 Remastered, unveiled today. What’s more, this remaster is already available for purchase on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, PC via Steam, and mobile devices like iOS and Android, priced at $29.99.

Marvel, Enough Nostalgia: Let’s See New X-Men, Not Old Faces!

This method of incorporating appearances by well-known actors from previous superhero films, as seen in recent MCU productions like “Spider-Man: No Way Home” and “Deadpool & Wolverine,” is being mirrored in these casting choices. Given that “Doomsday” is a large multiverse story, the merging of the X-Men universe with the MCU isn’t entirely unexpected. Yet, it’s disheartening to consider this as a potential future direction for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Marvel Studios, please give the X-Men cast members a break.

A Terrible Abomination

In contrast to the grotesque and exaggerated portrayal of Bane on Kelley Jones’ cover for Batman #497, the character as depicted by Absolute Batman artist Nick Dragotta is exceptionally muscular, larger even than the already imposing 6’6″ tall, 275-pound Batman. This new design was harshly criticized by actor Christian Bale, who labeled it a “terrible abomination” in a widely shared social media post that garnered over 1.6 million views.
