In the latest comic issue #22, I found myself, along with Hal, the Phantom Stranger, and Zauriel, stepping through the eerie portal within St. Patrick’s Purgatory, an old Irish church, into the very heart of hell. The air was thick with dread as we ventured deeper, but the Phantom Stranger’s unease turned out to be justified when a familiar voice echoed from the shadows. Stepping forth from the darkness, clad in his Lantern gear and wielding a flickering torch, was none other than fan-favorite Green Lantern G’nort. His eyes sparkled with joy at the sight of us, for he confessed that it had been ages since he encountered any friendly faces.

As soon as it hit the screens, the movie “Split Fiction” was quickly given the go-ahead for production. Back then, there were no specifics about the writers, directors, actors, or even the studio involved, but it was evident that this was a highly sought-after project in Hollywood. Thanks to a recent report by Variety, we now have a clearer picture of what this movie will be like. “Wicked” director Jon M. Chu is set to lead the project with a script penned by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, who have written all three Deadpool films. Chu has already secured his first star for the film, casting Euphoria actress Sydney Sweeney, who will also serve as an executive producer for the adaptation of “Split Fiction”. The team is currently shopping the film around to different studios in search of a suitable home. At this moment, Variety speculates that it hasn’t been decided whether Sweeney will play Mio or Zoe, although Zoe does have blonde hair and a more lively personality, which could suit Sweeney well.

In this universe, the character once known as The Dark Knight goes by the name Bat Specter instead. This new moniker isn’t just for added grit in this darkened world; rather, it reflects his role as a spectral avenger who haunts this desolate earth, seeking justice and vengeance. Moreover, he has adopted a speaking style reminiscent of Shakespearean actors.

Mobile Suit Gundam Eight, initially unveiled in 2021 for the celebration of Gundam Ace’s 20-year milestone, is set in an Earth distinct from other Gundam narratives. In the year 2030, humanity faces a dire situation with only 258 survivors left. The manga will commence publication on Gundam Ace on June 26th, 2025, followed by a High-Grade model kit based on the primary Gundam. Kadokawa has kept the storyline details sparse, only revealing the fundamental outline and a promotional image.
