Spider-Verse Creators Lord and Miller Likely Out at Sony TV
Based on recent information, it appears that Sony Pictures Television may not be extending their partnership with filmmakers Phil Lord and Chris Miller, who are behind both “The LEGO Movie” and “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse”. The report indicates that Sony, initially hoping to establish a Spider-Man TV universe with their collaboration, have grown dissatisfied as only one show – “Spider-Noir” – has been produced so far. There have also reportedly been disagreements over budgets between Sony and the filmmakers. Additionally, the first series conceived under this partnership, titled “Silk: Spider Society”, with Angela Kang as showrunner, did not progress after two years of development.
