Instead of constantly engaging in battles with monsters, designing an optimal Light Bowgun setup, or scavenging for materials to enhance your gear, it’s also rewarding to take on minor quests occasionally. These side missions offer opportunities to earn extra cash or discover the intricate details of smaller creatures in Monster Hunter World.

Without a doubt, the most notable feature is ‘The Island’, our new social gathering spot, which has been divided into four unique districts. Hero HQ pays tribute to modern WWE legends, while The Temple of Ancestors showcases a Lucha style with respect to wrestling icons from times past. The Deadlands is where you’ll find the eerie and supernatural, complete with challenges inspired by The Undertaker and Kain. However, my personal preference goes to The Arcade of Tomorrow, which offers a futuristic, cyberpunk-inspired ambiance.
As a gamer, after sinking about 56 hours into this game, I must admit I’m left feeling a bit underwhelmed by the overall experience. I won’t delve too much into the time it took to conquer Low Rank, the so-called “story” section of the game, or High Rank, where they promise things get intense. But let me tell you, it wasn’t even close to the investment needed in World. I had hoped the endgame would make up for this and offer a variety of tough battles, particularly the Tempered Monsters. However, that dream was short-lived. Don’t get me wrong; there are some challenging endgame monsters, but as my review mentioned, I found only two or three truly exceptional ones.
