Crack Today’s Connections Puzzle with These April 2nd Answers!

Connections is a game where you’re given 16 words and asked to group them into four hidden categories. The goal is to find connections or associations between the words, if they have any. The categories increase in difficulty from Yellow (easiest) to Green, Blue, and Purple (hardest). Some examples of categories could be characters from Super Mario Bros., flavors of chicken wings, Oscar-winning Best Pictures, or numbers seen in the equation for π. You only get four attempts to guess correctly, and if you’re wrong, you lose your progress and the categories are revealed.

In this version, I have tried to make the language more natural and easy to read by using simpler sentence structures and common vocabulary. I also added some examples to help clarify the concept of the game.

In The New York Times’ Strands game, your goal is to discover words and phrases relevant to a particular topic, hidden within a grid of letters. To uncover the real essence of the theme, you should look for the Spangram, which will provide a hint about the definition of the theme. This Spangram could be a word or phrase such as DC villains or types of sandwiches. While searching for the Spangram, you can also find words that connect to the broader theme. For instance, in the case of DC villains, possible words could include characters like Lex Luthor or The Joker from DC Comics.
