This month, it’s been discovered that Sega submitted a new trademark for the game “Skies of Arcadia”. Originally launched on the Dreamcast in 2000 (known as “Eternal Arcadia” in Japan), this game is widely regarded as one of the best ever released on the Sega console. Developed by Overworks, “Skies of Arcadia” features a sky pirate protagonist named Vyse and shares gameplay characteristics with other Japanese-style turn-based RPGs. It was later ported to Nintendo GameCube as “Skies of Arcadia: Legends”, but has yet to appear on any other platforms, even though fans have consistently asked for it.
