According to FlixPatrol, Smallville is now a top 10 series on Netflix globally, currently ranking at number seven. As a movie critic, I was following the drama surrounding Warner Bros. and HBO Max closely. Initially, it looked like Netflix had secured the deal in December, with announcements flying everywhere about the potential merger. But the story wasn’t over! Plus, the new show appears to be following a successful formula from another popular Marvel series, which gives us even more reason to be excited about what’s coming.

It’s a common tactic for science fiction shows to end a season with a cliffhanger, hoping to get viewers excited for the next one. Unfortunately, sometimes these shows are cancelled before they can provide answers, leaving fans disappointed. Sci-fi series seem particularly prone to this frustrating pattern, dangling intriguing questions that never get resolved.
