Amidst the COVID-19 lockdown, Janie Hendrix, who is the step-sister of rock legend Jimi Hendrix and holds the position of President and CEO at Experience Hendrix, collaborated with DJ Ben Ha Meen, writer Mellow Brown, and artist Tom Mandrake to produce a graphic novel titled “Jimi Hendrix: Purple Haze“. This original work will be available in stores starting August 27th. The story revolves around Jimi Hendrix’s engagement in a celestial conflict against malevolent cosmic entities, weaving a science-fiction mythology that bears resemblance to David Bowie’s Ziggy Stardust persona. By creating this graphic novel, the team aims to introduce Jimi’s music and vibrant character to a fresh audience and a new generation.
