For over ten years, Earth Defense Force (EDF) has carved out a unique space in gaming as the self-aware and campy “B-movie” series known for its humor. I’m thrilled to report that this tradition continues in EDF 6 with gusto! The core gameplay formula from EDF’s first Western release remains intact: you assume the role of a soldier in an international army, tasked with shielding Earth from alien invasion. There isn’t much depth in terms of narrative or character development, and the campiness is abundant throughout.

The anticipated series “Invincible Fight Girl” is yet to be released, with Adult Swim unveiling its initial glimpse. Amidst the ongoing transformations within Warner Bros. Discovery’s animated division, numerous projects have been announced, canceled, or put on hold in recent years. One such project that left fans intrigued was “Invincible Fight Girl,” initially introduced as a new original series for Max (later HBO Max) and Cartoon Network back in 2022. However, since then, there have been limited updates, aside from a few previews at Annecy and more.

Approximately two decades after the initial release of “Constantine,” Warner Bros. is moving forward with a sequel. However, during an interview at San Diego Comic Con, producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura reminisced about the original film. The movie was rich in Judeo-Christian symbolism and folklore, but according to di Bonaventura, not all elements made it past Warner Bros.’ approval process during production. Specifically, he shared with ComicBook that one controversial reference was removed from the script.
