PAINKILLER MAKES A COMEBACK!

As an avid gaming enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share that I’ve got some exciting news! The dynamic duo, Saber Interactive and 3D Realms, have announced a reimagining of the critically acclaimed 2004 first-person shooter game – Painkiller. Can’t wait to get my hands on it!

This upcoming year, you’ll find a refreshed take on the beloved first-person shooter originally developed by Anshar Studios, as it makes its way to PlayStation 5.

In simpler terms, “Painkiller” resembles action-packed games like DOOM and Serious Sam, focusing on rapidly eliminating waves of demonic adversaries with both pace and panache.

In the setting of Purgatory, the game tasks you with striving for a chance at redemption. You can embark on this quest alone or join forces with two other players through online cooperation.

In the upcoming update, you’ll find a blend of old and brand-new weapons at your disposal. Additionally, there’s a Tarot card system in place, which empowers your skills. During multiplayer sessions, you can even merge these abilities with those of other players.

Additionally, you will find that you can choose among four playable characters – Ink, Void, Sol, and Roch, each offering distinct advantages in the gameplay.

This game seems promising for a fantastic, enjoyable experience, particularly in its cooperative mode. We’re optimistic that it will prove to be an exceptionally strong First-Person Shooter when released in autumn of 2025.

Previously, another game called “Painkiller” had already made its way onto consoles. The title of being the first console version belongs to “Painkiller: Hell & Damnation”, which was a somewhat criticized reboot/sequel for PlayStation 3.

By the way, it’s worth mentioning that the first game from People Can Fly, known as Painkiller, was their initial release. This studio later created popular games such as Bulletstorm and Outriders. Interestingly, this team has now partnered with Sony to create a unique new game under one of Sony’s classic intellectual properties.

By any chance, do you look forward to the comeback of Painkiller on PS5? Feel free to share your thoughts using the comment area below.
