Palworld Crosses 32 Million Players

In 2024, Palworld was undeniably one of the most significant gaming tales (and releases), and as we approach the end of the first two months of the new year, this survival game is still going strong.

In an exciting development, Pocketpair has revealed that the game Palworld has surpassed another significant achievement, now boasting over 32 million players across all available platforms. This number represents a substantial increase from the 25 million players reported last February. According to Pocketpair, this title was created with a modest budget of approximately $6.7 million and has generated “tens of billions of yen” in earnings.

Initially, Palworld debuted on Xbox and PC platforms in January of the previous year, followed by its PS5 release in September. Since then, it has undergone significant content updates such as Sakurajima and Feybreak, which introduced new areas, creatures called Pals, features, and other enhancements. Recently, the developers have unveiled a 2025 roadmap detailing future updates for the game. However, the studio emphasizes that they won’t adopt a live service model after its official launch.

In simple terms, the game called Palworld can be played on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, as well as personal computers. However, it’s important to note that the developer of this game, Pocketpair, is currently facing a lawsuit by Nintendo and The Pokemon Company due to claims of patent violation.
