As a seasoned gamer with a penchant for exploring vast open worlds and uncovering hidden treasures, I can’t help but feel a tad disappointed upon hearing about the delay of Palworld’s PS5 release in Japan. With countless hours spent traversing virtual landscapes, the prospect of diving into this survivor sensation was undeniably enticing.
During Sony’s latest State of Play event, the game “Palworld” by Pocketpair was unexpectedly released for the PlayStation 5. However, it seems that this game may not be accessible to PS5 users worldwide at this time.
Right after the big reveal of the game on PlayStation, I noticed the Palworld Japanese Twitter account shared some news. Turns out, they’ve decided to postpone the Japanese launch of the game for now.
Pocketpair hasn’t finalized the launch date for Japan yet,” reads their statement. “We understand your anticipation and regret any inconvenience this may cause. However, rest assured that our team is working diligently to bring it to PS5 users in Japan as quickly as possible. We appreciate your patience and ask you to hold on a bit longer.
Pocketpair hasn’t yet announced when the PS5 version of the game will be available in Japan, nor have they given any explanation for the delay.
It’s true that Pocketpair has been recently sued by Nintendo and The Pokémon Company due to patent violations, with the lawsuit being filed in Japan. However, it remains uncertain whether this legal action played a role in the delay of Palworld for PlayStation 5.
Just dropped some news here, folks! As announced during the PlayStation State of Play, Palworld/Parworld for PS5 officially hit the shelves globally in 68 countries today.
