Paralympian Hunter Woodhall is in recovery mode.
Recently, the gold medalist revealed a surprising twist in his visit to his father, Steve Woodhall, who’s recuperating from open-heart surgery. Unanticipatedly, he himself had to undergo an unexpected emergency operation during the trip.
Hunter posted on Instagram Stories on March 4th, sharing a picture from a hospital room. He mentioned that he had traveled to Utah to be with his father after his heart surgery. Unfortunately, the day before, Hunter himself experienced severe stomach pain and discovered he needed an appendectomy. So, they will both be recuperating together.
26-year-old individual posted another picture of him going for surgery, then reported the operation was successful in a subsequent video. In addition, he playfully commented on his unplanned hospital stay, saying, “I’m heterosexual. I didn’t really need that appendix, to be honest.
The athlete who won gold at the 2024 Paris Paralympics discussed his harrowing experience in an Instagram video posted on March 5th. In particular, he expressed gratitude for a crucial accessory that helped him survive – his Oura ring. He recounted that after purchasing practice clothes, he consumed a blue cheese salad and subsequently felt discomfort in his abdomen.
Last year, I contracted COVID just before the Paralympics, and it led to an unusual lactose intolerance in me. To put it mildly, this has been far more severe than any issue I’ve encountered previously, even when considering the cheese on my salad. Hunter, who is married to Olympic track athlete Tara Davis-Woodhall, made this observation.
In simpler terms, Hunter endured the discomfort until the following day, when a concerning health alert appeared on his smartwatch.
He exclaimed that the red alert took him by surprise,” he stated, explaining how it indicated his heart rate and body temperature were above the usual limit. “Recognizing the pain was in my lower right belly, I looked up the signs of appendicitis, and all the symptoms matched what the alarm suggested.
After the track meet, the sprinter made his way to the hospital. There, doctors discovered his appendix had swollen through a CT scan. At the end of the video, Hunter revealed his “three fresh scars” on his stomach, assuring everyone that his father was also in high spirits following his own operation.
Meanwhile, as Hunter recovers under his father’s care, his wife Tara is preparing to stand by his side at the hospital. Not long after his update video, the 25-year-old track star posted on her Instagram Stories that she had arranged a flight to Utah to be with him.

So I urge everyone, cherish the people near you, offer hugs whenever possible. Life can unexpectedly alter in a moment.
In Amy Schumer’s words, she is grateful that the internet, which can sometimes be unkind, turned out to be helpful in this instance by providing her with answers. She recalled an episode on Call Her Daddy where she jokingly asked everyone to calm down due to her “puffier” face. However, medical professionals chimed in with comments suggesting she might have Cushing syndrome, a condition they believed was caused by high cortisol levels or steroid injections.
After realizing that she had been receiving steroid injections in her scars from procedures like breast reduction and C-section, Amy thought, “Wait, I’m being trolled by doctors?” She continued to investigate and discovered the link between her steroid injections and Cushing syndrome, a condition she wouldn’t have known about without the internet’s intense scrutiny.
Now, Amy is relieved that she’s healthy and okay. In a February 2024 News Not Noise newsletter, she expressed her joy upon finding out that the type of Cushing she had would resolve itself, stating, “The news that I have a type of Cushing syndrome that will work itself out and I’m healthy was the best news ever.
Hailey Bieber experienced one of the most frightening incidents in her life when she had a breakfast with her husband Justin Bieber in March 2022, and she began to exhibit symptoms similar to a stroke. Hailey recounted this experience on YouTube about a month later, sharing that Justin asked if she was alright, but she couldn’t respond because she wasn’t certain. When he inquired again, she tried to speak but found she couldn’t. Her right side of the face began drooping, and she struggled to form a sentence.
Although her facial drooping ceased, and her speech returned, Hailey went to the hospital to ensure she was healthy. She revealed that doctors detected a small blood clot in her brain, which they referred to as a Transient Ischemic Attack (TIA). Later, she visited the University of California, Los Angeles, where they discovered a hole in her heart called patent foramen ovale (PFO).
Hailey explained that the blood clot had moved into her heart, escaped through the PFO, and traveled to her brain, causing the TIA. After undergoing a successful PFO closure procedure, she reported feeling fantastic now.
In the same year Hailey went through a health crisis, Justin Bieber also faced one of his own. Specifically, in 2022, Justin revealed he was diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome, a condition that resulted in temporary facial paralysis and forced him to postpone the rest of his Justice World Tour. He explained on Instagram that the virus affected the nerve in his ear and facial nerves, causing paralysis in half of his face, as he couldn’t blink one eye, smile, or move one nostril. Eating became progressively difficult for him, but eventually, the paralysis subsided. Hailey shared on Good Morning America that Justin was recovering well at the time and would fully recuperate.
Jamie Foxx initially chose to keep the details of his hospitalization in April 2023 confidential, but later revealed his experiences. In Atlanta, he recounted, “I was experiencing a severe headache, so I asked my friend, ‘Listen, I need an aspirin,'” which is what he said during his 2024 Netflix special titled What Had Happened Was…. However, before he could take the aspirin, he fainted. He doesn’t remember being unconscious for about 20 days.
Initially, a doctor administered him a cortisone shot and sent him home. However, his sister, Deidra Dixon, then drove him to another hospital where they diagnosed him with a brain bleed that caused a stroke.
Twenty days after the surgery on May 4, Jamie Foxx, known for his role in Django Unchained, woke up in a wheelchair and was unable to walk. He then traveled to Chicago for rehabilitation and therapy.
“I can only express my gratitude for every prayer,” he said, “because I truly needed them all.
As a devoted admirer and follower, let me share with you that I, much like Emilia Clarke, was involved in intense battle scenes for the iconic series, Game of Thrones. However, unlike those dramatic on-screen battles, it was an actual internal conflict I faced off against in 2019.
In my own words, while at the gym one day, I was struck by a sudden, debilitating headache that led me to the restroom, where I collapsed and vomited profusely. The agony in my skull only intensified, and deep down, I knew something was gravely wrong with my brain.
I was rushed to the hospital for an emergency scan, which confirmed my worst fears: a subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH), a life-threatening type of stroke caused by bleeding in the space surrounding the brain. I had suffered an aneurysm, a ruptured artery.
The first surgery to seal the aneurysm was excruciatingly painful, but I persevered. During my recovery, I found myself struggling with aphasia and speaking nonsensical words. However, a week later, the aphasia miraculously subsided, and I was discharged from the hospital after a month’s stay.
However, a 2013 brain scan revealed that the growth had doubled in size, and I would need another operation. “When they woke me,” I wrote, “I was screaming in pain. The procedure had failed. I had suffered a massive bleed, and the doctors made it clear that my survival prospects were precarious if they didn’t operate again. This time, they needed to access my brain through the traditional method—my skull.”
Thankfully, I’m now back to 100%.
Cori Broadus, the daughter of Snoop Dogg, expresses her gratitude towards her family after experiencing a severe stroke in January 2024. In December 2024, she shared with TopMob News correspondent Will Marfuggi that she texted them about the stroke and they promptly came to her aid. Due to additional health issues, Cori had a longer hospital stay than anticipated. She mentioned that though she could have been discharged after the stroke, her lupus was not doing well, her kidneys were failing, and she had multiple health complications. Currently, Cori is recovering well. She stated, “I’m doing great… I just had to work on my motor skills. Other than that, I was fine.
In the early part of her twenties, Shailene Woodley experienced significant health challenges. Her struggles were so severe that they led to hearing loss, limited her mobility, caused stomach pain with every meal, and prompted fear of food. This combination of issues was difficult for doctors to diagnose and treat effectively.
To find answers and relief, Shailene turned to a holistic approach, combining conventional medical care with alternative healing methods. Having a background in herbalism, she sought guidance from both traditional doctors and independent healers. This journey lasted for ten years, during which time her physical discomfort led to mental health issues such as body dysmorphia, identity confusion, and feelings of insecurity and uncertainty about self-image.
After addressing both her physical and mental wellbeing, Shailene is now feeling much improved. She shared that her health eventually improved on its own, and she is happy to report that she is currently in good health.
