Despite being overshadowed by heavyweights such as Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, and Disney+ in the streaming market for the past couple of years, Paramount+ has managed to establish itself quietly yet effectively. Over this period, it has amassed an appealing collection of movies and TV shows, despite not having blockbusters like Yellowstone and South Park, which were assigned to other streamers before Paramount+ gained prominence. In addition to offering a live CBS feed and numerous sports events, Paramount+ boasts an extensive library of top-quality TV series, and its subscribers have varying views on which of these shows should be on everyone’s must-watch list.
Over the past week, a discussion on the r/ParamountPlus Reddit centered around fans’ favorite shows offered by the service. This thread sparked a multi-day conversation among users, mostly consisting of polite exchanges as individuals shared their preferred shows on Paramount+.
As a film enthusiast, it’s no wonder that many of the titles discussed in our chat were somehow linked to Taylor Sheridan, the brilliant mind behind Yellowstone. In fact, it’s common knowledge that most of Paramount+’s biggest originals have either been produced or co-created by him. Once you’ve experienced one of his shows, it’s hard not to become hooked and eagerly seek out more of his captivating storytelling.
The Tulsa King series, featuring Sylvester Stallone, was frequently talked about among viewers, who adored the crime drama. In the initial post, The Mayor of Kingstown, starring Jeremy Renner, was mentioned, while Lioness, Landman, and 1923 were also highly praised.
“I’m currently watching Tulsa King and obsessed,” a Paramount+ subscriber wrote in the comments.
Moreover, there was an immense amount of affection for the freshly released series named “Mobland”, featuring actors like Tom Hardy, Pierce Brosnan, and Helen Mirren. This production is by Guy Ritchie and has recently broken Paramount+’s viewership records with its debut.
The first user commented, “Mobland has had a fantastic start,” to which another responded, “I’m really enjoying Mobland, mainly due to Tom Hardy, but overall it’s quite impressive.
It turns out that the show generating the most buzz during the Reddit discussion wasn’t originally a Paramount+ exclusive. In fact, there was significantly more chatter about the series “Evil” than any other show on their platform.
The TV show on CBS, which delved into the realm of the supernatural and was widely admired, was later shifted to Paramount+ a couple of years back. Despite running for just four seasons, fans have continued to ask for more episodes of “Evil”.
“Evil was such a great show,” wrote one fan. “I’m sad it’s gone.”
One individual stated that their primary motivation for subscribing to Paramount+ was exclusively to view the series called “Evil“. They continue to express that, in their opinion, it remains the finest program available on the platform.
If you’re interested in watching any of these shows but haven’t subscribed to Paramount+ yet, you can easily do so by clicking here to sign up.
